ETERNAL SUMMER

Eternal Summer is a continuation of the 100 Days of Summer project I tried last summer.

Each day I'll complete some kind of creative endevor/project over the corse of that day and then upload it here.

My goal for this summer is to go beyond one hundred days and make it last forever.

If you'd like to collaborate on a project one day Email and say hi

Aug 14 2008

Art day with Kelly Lynn Jones and Marci Washington

DAY 55

Aug 13 2008

Met with art collerctor/writer Mark Gross today to do some collaborative creative writing at a cafe in Potrero Hill.

We picked people in the cafe at random and wrote short stories about them. One was a dialog between a mother

and child, the second was a 1st person story from the perspective of young guy with a moustache, and then the last was a 3rd

person story about two older matching men in red and blue golf shirts. Mark's short stories were really amazing,

If you'd like to read them you can go HERE. (i'm not going to post mine, they were not nearly as good).

DAY 45

Aug 3 2008

Today I did a collaborative project with Mike Park, a friend from Oakland who I met through Marci and Deth. We met up in Doloros Park and he brought along children'sactivity books. The little booklettes were really cute, it had a big blank square at the top of the page and then 4 or 5 lines underneath it so you could write your own adventure story. We took turns swapping writting and drawing in eachothers books and this is what came about...

Mike was nice enough to take them home and scan them and re-type the text

DAY 28

July 17 2008

Today I worked on a zine...but a couple days ago my digital camera broke so i have nothing to show for it...i will find a way to be more creative with uploading images with no camera...just give me a few days and it'll all work out, hopefully.

DAY 27

July 16 2008

These polaroids are from a collaboration between with Billy O'Callaghan and myself in Golden Gate Park. The way we did it was by having one person lay on the ground and the other stand above holding the strap of the polaroid camera and letting it dangle just high enough so the person laying down could reach out and push the button.

These fit into a series he is working on called Assisted Self Portraits. The photos I took with my 6x7 are still inside of my camera...but as an extra little bit of information, while we were in the park we saw a mother and her baby quails! it was amazingly adorable. ..

Anyways, the images will be uploaded when they are developed...
